What We Collect
- Account information: Username, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Job URLs: Job listing URLs you submit for analysis. We do not store the full content of job postings.
- Usage analytics: Page views, feature usage, and interaction patterns to improve the product. Collected via PostHog.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and screen size for analytics purposes.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the job listing analysis service.
- To understand how users interact with our product and identify areas for improvement.
- To maintain account security and prevent abuse.
- To aggregate anonymized data for product insights (e.g. average scores, check volume).
Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Authentication, database, and storage infrastructure.
- PostHog: Product analytics, session recording, and usage tracking.
- AI Providers: We use AI models to analyze job listings. Job URLs may be processed by third-party AI providers.
Browser Extension
The Subspace browser extension (available for Chrome and Firefox) does not collect, store, or transmit any data on its own. It does not use cookies, run background processes, or track your browsing activity.
When you click the “Check this listing” badge, the extension opens thesubspace.io with the current page URL. At that point, the web application's privacy practices (described above) apply.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential cookies: Session management and authentication.
- Analytics cookies: Understanding usage patterns via PostHog. These are only set after you accept our cookie consent banner.

Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
Your Rights

- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Opt out of analytics tracking.
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format).
These rights apply under GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA (California), and similar regulations.
Automated Reports & Company Assessments
Subspace publishes automated assessments of companies based on algorithmic analysis of publicly available job listing data. These assessments (including listing quality indices, scores, and verdicts) are generated by heuristic algorithms and do not represent human editorial opinions, accusations of wrongdoing, or statements of fact about any company's hiring intent.
The data used in these reports is sourced exclusively from publicly available job listings. No private, confidential, or proprietary employer data is collected, stored, or disclosed. Companies appearing in our reports are assessed solely on the basis of their publicly posted job listings.
If you are a company representative and believe your assessment is inaccurate, you may request a review or removal by contacting us via the feedback form. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
